Providence, Rhode Island, Face Lift Cosmetic Surgeon
In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces. Deep creases can appear beside the mouth, the jaw gets slack, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck. Facelifts can resolve these problems by removing fat and tightening skin and muscles, giving your face a fresher, more youthful look. After surgery, some patients can appear as much as 10 or 15 years younger. At the Polacek Center our Rhode Island Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr. Lori Polacek, is experienced and highly skilled in these procedures.

Facelifts are most often performed on people in their 40s-60s, though those in their 70s or 80s can have facelifts as well. The procedure can be combined with other procedures such as Brow Lifts & Eye Lifts for more dramatic results, or it can be restricted to the neck if that’s the primary concern of the patient.
Most of Dr. Polacek’s patients remain in the hospital overnight for observation following their facelift in Rhode Island. The procedure itself varies depending on the surgeon and the patient’s facial structure (i.e. where the incisions are placed, whether one or both sides of the face are worked on at once, in which order the steps are performed).
Not everyone is a candidate for a face lift surgery in Rhode Island. Patients who smoke, take medications or have certain medical conditions such as heart disease, blood clotting problems, diabetes or the tendency to form excessive scars should discuss potential risks with their surgeons. Patients with short hair may want to consider letting it grow before surgery to better conceal scars.
During your consultation Rhode Island Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Polacek will review your treatment options for Rhode Island Facelift surgery, including pros and cons of each procedure, potential risks and complications, recovery course, pre and post operative instructions, and esthetic outcomes.
Prior to all procedures, Aspirin and Anti Inflammatory drugs should be avoided.
