Patient 1
This 40-year-old patient underwent two treatments of injections. The first treatment consisted of one treatment of BOTOX^® between the eyes and the crow’s feet, as well as a treatment of JUVÉDERM^® in the lower face. The second treatment consisted of an additional syringe of JUVÉDERM^® in the lower face 12 days later. She was very happy with the results, voicing to Dr. Polacek that she felt “10 years younger.” The patient also remarked that she felt Dr. Polacek did a wonderful job of being gentle, and that the process was overall painless.

What Can I Expect During Treatment With JUVÉDERM^®?

During your consultation, we’ll discuss your goals. On treatment day, the area is cleaned and numbing cream can be applied. Most patients feel little discomfort. Injections take a few minutes per area, followed by gentle massage and a final assessment. The full treatment lasts 15 minutes to an hour, depending on your needs.

Is There a Recovery Period After JUVÉDERM^® Injections?

JUVÉDERM^® injections require little to no downtime, making recovery quick and easy. You may be advised to avoid strenuous activity for 24 to 48 hours. It is recommended to avoid dental work and vaccinations for two weeks prior to and after dermal filler. Mild swelling and bruising are normal but usually minimal. Our providers use careful techniques to minimize side effects and will provide personalized aftercare instructions.

How Long Do JUVÉDERM^® Results Last?

JUVÉDERM^® provides long-lasting but temporary results. Most formulas like Ultra, Ultra Plus XC, VOLBELLA^®, and VOLUX^® last up to one year. VOLLURE^® XC can last up to 18 months, while VOLUMA^® XC may last as long as two years. To maintain results, periodic touch-up treatments are recommended.
